On December 12th we had our Christmas with Jessika (the Birthmother) and her family at our house. We had a surprise visit from Santa and he brought gifts for all the children. It was a fun time and Gracie is feeling a lot better as well.

Emma got her first tooth yesterday (Dec.13) as well. She has gotten her bottom left tooth and Ella has gotten her bottom right tooth....interesting!! They were 9 days apart.

Today Ella got her first tooth coming through. We knew it was coming because she was doing something funky with her tounge. Emma is not far behind. She is gnawing on everything as well. Ohhhh, they are growing up way too fast!!!

6 Months Old

The girls are 6 months old and I am wondering where the time has gone. Ella now weighs 16lbs and Emma weighs a little under 17lbs. They got their flu shots this week and it made mommy and daddy sad!! We get their 6 month pictures in a couple of weeks so I will post them when we get them back. Stay tuned......

Big Sister Gracie

Emma and Ella's big sister Gracie is finally in remission. She now does once a month maintenance chemo cycles. She is starting to get her hair back now and has her appetite back. She is a trooper!! She loves to kiss and hug the girls!!

5 Months Old

It's hard to believe that the girls are already 5 months old. Where has the time gone??? It seems just like yesterday that I was sitting in the NICU every day with them just waiting to bring them home. These 5 months have been full of wonderful times and memories. The great thing about this age is that the girls are starting to notice each other. They stare and grab at each other now. It is so cute!!!!

I had a wonderful birthday. Even though I received my two presents back in April, the girls managed to get mommy a mommy's bracelet and necklace. They are beautiful. Grandma Cindy also got mommy a bracelet that says Emma and Ella!! My best birthday ever!!!!

Grandpa's Birthday

The girls didn't get to see their grandpa on his birthday so we took some pictures to send to him.

ADOPTION DAY

Well, today we finalized our adoption in front of the judge. It is official....Emma and Ella are now McClain's. It was a GREAT day and we will have many GREAT years ahead of us as a family!!!!

3 Months Old

It is hard to believe but the girls are 3 months old. They are growing so fast and starting to really hold their heads up. Emma has a little temper and Ella is our pouter. She gets that little lip out. They are becoming so much fun. We are so blessed!!!

Daddy had a wonderful first birthday with the girls. He said all he wanted for his birthday was to spend time with his family. The girls decided to bake him a cake and make onesies that say Happy Birthday Daddy.....
