33 Week Ultrasound

Well, we had another ultrasound yesterday and I was a little nervous to see if Baby A was still growing. And much to our surprise they are both growing at the same rate. Ella weighs 3.13lbs and Emma weighs 4.11lbs. They are doing very well. We are hoping that the doctor still delivers Jessika at 36 weeks if she doesn't go into labor by then. Wow, It just doesn't seem like we are going to be parents in a few weeks. I can't wait to see Rick's face when he sees our little girls. He will be wrapped around their little fingers from the beginning!!!!!

32 Week Ultrasound

We had our ultrasound this week and Ella (Baby A) weighs 3.4lbs and Emma (Baby B) weighs 4.2lbs. We are a little concerned about Ella weighing so much less than Emma. The doctor recommended that Jessika be monitored 3 days a week and ultrasounds every week from here on out. If she does not go into labor within the next four weeks, the doctors want the babies delivered at 36 weeks because of the difference in size. I cannot believe our dreams will finally come true in four weeks. We have waited sooooo long for this moment. We finally got some good pictures of Ella. She was moving her head up and down and puckering her lips for us. Ella is head down and Emma has flipped.....again. She will be our little gymnast. Her butt was in Ella's face. She is a little stinker. Our next ultrasound is next Wednesday. We have to keep an eye on Ella and make sure she keeps growing.

Nursery

The nursery is finally done!!! We went with the soft yellow color and black and white polka dots as the accent. We are going with one bed for now because it is always a good idea to let the twins sleep together for awhile to bond. We will eventually get the second bed. And Rick actually drew the tree on the wall.

Babies Names

Yes, we have decided to share the babies' names. Everyone keeps asking so we decided it was time. So....here they are......

Baby A: ELLA RAE
and
Baby B: EMMA JEAN
Emma is after my grandmother who passed away almost a year to date. Her middle name is after Rick's dad, Gene, and my birth grandmother Jean. Ella is from Rick's moms middle name, Ellen. Rick is excited to have his three E's.

Baby Shower

We had our baby shower Saturday and it was a lot of fun. I got a lot of beautiful clothes. I don't know where I am going to put all of them. We had a baby bottle sucking contest which was a lot of fun. Jessika came with her grandmother and got to meet everyone. The little girl in the picture is Jessika's little daughter. She was just diagnosed with Leukemia. We love her to pieces. We have decided to keep the girls umbilical cord blood just in case they, or Grace, need to use the stem cells. I encourage everyone who has children to save the stem cells....they are using them for 80+ diseases now.

28 Week Ultrasound

We had our 28 week ultrasound and it was the first time that Rick got to attend and see our little girls in action. Baby B flipped back around and is no longer breach....YEAH!!! I told Jessika that if she didn't flip back around that she was going to be grounded when she came out...ha. Baby A weighs 2.1lbs and Baby B weighs 2.6lbs. They are still growing normal and consistently. Baby B is definetely going to be our little drama queen. She thought it would be funny to moon us and show us that she was definetely a little girl. Personally, I think she was mooning her daddy. She also loves the camera. Baby A is our shy one. She doesn't want to give us a profile for the 4D picture. Everything still looks really good for everyone. The baby shower is coming up on March 14 and I will also be posting the nursery pictures soon.

25 Week Ultrasound

We had an ultrasound today...It was the first ultrasound that I was able to go to. The babies look great. Baby A weighs 1.6 ounces and Baby B weighs 1.8 ounces. The amniotic fluid around the babies looks great as well. Baby A is head down and Baby B has flipped around to breach position. We are hoping she flips back around so Jessika can deliver natural. Jessika is doing great and we thank god for her every day for giving us, not one, but two of the greatest miracles ever!!!! She has been our angel....giving us what we didn't think we could ever have.
